NORTHLAND YOUTH MUSIC PROGRAM "the best kept secret in the Northland" a 501c3 program |

HALL OF FAME
THE N.Y.M.P. WOULD LIKE TO ACKNOWLEDGE THE UNIVERSITY OF WISCONSIN - SUPERIOR CAMPUS AS A
MUSIC PATRON THROUGH THEIR LARGE IN KIND DONATION OF UNIVERSITY FACILITIES EACH SUMMER.
The N.Y.M.P. provides a program that should cost over $300,000. Our mission is to provide a high quality program to our music students, even if they can't afford to pay tuition. With the help of dedicated volunteers and unpaid staff, we are able to keep costs down. Over the past seven years our program has grown exponentially. With the University of Wisconsin Superior allowing the N.Y.M.P. to hold the summer music education program on their campus without accruing the standard fees for facility usage (classrooms, auditoriums use of music instruments and other) all students are able to experience this educational opportunity. N.Y.M.P. relies on assistance from organization, foundations, and large and small companies to make this program possible. We understand that there are many persons that have been laid off from businesses in the area, a small donation from your company will not bring back an employee but gives that displaced employee a chance to give a great opportunity to his or her child which would not have been affordable to their family.
The N.Y.M.P. invites all music students to attend our summer programs. The majority of our students are from the upper Midwest including Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Michigan. Our goal is to keep kids in music, in school, and seeking a vision of their future through completion of high school into college.
The 2008 projected budget is $105,700. In 2008 the N.Y.M.P. must raise $30,000 to assure the continuation of this high quality affordable music education program. With your help we will be able to keep the cost of the program affordable while giving local music students the ability to attend even if they cannot afford to pay tuition.

In April the N.Y.M.P. sent out a final bulk mailing to 1400 local businesses in Superior and Duluth letting them know we are in desperate need for financial assistance. We suggested if 500 businesses donated $35 we would be able to make our 2005 commitments. Below are the businesses we would like to thank for their donation, which was at least $35 or more. These companies are heroes. Please let them know!
